Titanium Foil
Usually titanium foil is defined for the sheet under 0.1mm and the strip is for sheets under 610(24”) in width. It is about the same thickness as a sheet of paper. Titanium foil can be used for precision parts, bone implantation, bio-engineering and so on. It is also mainly used for the loudspeaker of the high pitch film, with titanium foil for high fidelity, the sound is clear and bright.

Titanium foils are used a lot in bio-engineering applications where body tissues, saliva and micro organisms are kept in the titanium foils due to their excellent bio-compatibility and inert nature with living things. The thin foil is also used in shavers and windscreen. Another application you may not know is that titanium foil is also used in making of the camera shutters, a most unseen and unknown device hidden inside a camera that allows light to pass for a short period of time, for the purpose of exposing film or an electronic sensor to light to make a photo. Titanium foils can be used in wind shavers, screens, wind screen, camera shutters, or what ever you can imagine.
Titanium strips ,foils, coils are usually manufactured according to ASTM B265/ ASME SB-265. There are also some equivalent standards including AMS 4900~4902, AMS 4905~4919, SAE MAM 2242, MIL-T-9046 (Military), ASTM F67/ F136 (Surgical implants), JIS H4600 & TIS 7912 (Japanese), D 5577 (South Korean), EN 2517/ EN 2525~EN 2528 (European), DIN 17860 (German), AIR 9182 (French), British Standards, GB/T 26723/ GB/T 3621-3622 (Chinese).
